Shared Column: the join key that appears in both files (for example: Product Name, Account ID, SKU). Rows are aligned using this column before checking anything else. In some cases, the Shared Column itself is also the column you need to reconcile. If so, select it as both the Shared Column and the Validation Column.
Validation Column: the column whose values you want to confirm are the same across the two files (for example: Revenue, Balance, Status).
